Like the ones with shoes when new, but seem more durable and strongThey are gray shoelaces...they lace. Fit my Nike Airmax 95 shoes perfectly. Make sure you know what length to get. I checked online to see what the shoes came with.Smaller than size I had thought I hadTo smallI purchased these to dress up a pair of running shoes. Unfortunately the aglets (plastic tips on the end of the shoelace) were too big and did not fit through the eyelets (holes) at the top of the shoe that had a metal grommet. I was able to put them on another pair of shoes that did not have metal grommets (metal ring to reinforce the hole). If your running shoes have metal or plastic grommets in the eyelets, then you need to purchase the oval type laces and not these flat type laces.I was frustrated with the round laces that came with my walking boots; always had to 'double-knot' to prevent them from working loose, and then wrestling with that knot lump before taking off the boots. These flat laces form a single knot with a nice 'squeak', and remain securely tied throughout the entire walk.I was looking to replace 100% cotton laces in a pair of Taos sneakers and didn't want anything that looked too athletic, too nylon. These are perfect. They have a bit of stretch to them, which makes them even better. They are a bit wide, which is fine for my shoes but do check they will fit yours prior to purchasing.Overall decent quality, they look great on my Chuck’s. Only complaint is 1/4 laces sent was damaged or defective(seen in photo), which is alright since I was only expecting one pair. One odd thing I will note is the material is quite lose so if you tie one shoe tighter the lace appears significantly thinner on that shoe.The color is way offOrders the beige but as you can see in the picture, it is more of a weird light orange.Not even Sail or Cream color, more orange.Quality seems good though
